Some of the drawbacks I have read about on the Arlo Pro (1) are the delays or lag time between motion detection and actually when the recording starts. Does anyone know if this has been addressed in the new Arlo Pro 2? Is it even an issue with the Arlo Pro cameras, the apps, the base?

This is my only concern before deciding on buying. Any help is appreciated.

There will always be a couple of seconds lag with the wireless cameras due to the need for the cameras to wake up and start communicating with the servers. Positioning is key so the subject is detected moving into the view with enough time to capture them (these are very wide angle lenses so that usually isn't a problem).  Also, the P2 cameras can be AC powered which allows a 3 second pre-buffer to be attached to the videos or the addition of CVR to allow you to see the whole stream.
