I have an Arlo Pro 2 system with 5 wireless cameras, model no. VCS4500C, that I purchased about 6 years ago. About a week ago I noticed all of the cameras went offline and I could not bring them back online. I ended up doing a factory reset, but am now unable to sync the cameras to the base station. When trying to sync the cameras, the blue light never comes on or blinks. The base station is online and can be seen as a device in the app. I’ve followed all of the available instructions that I found from Arlo support and also the instructions that came with the system but still cannot sync the cameras to the base station. Please help.

After making sure the batteries are charged, try the manual sync routine. Briefly press the base sync button - don't hold it - and then a camera button. Does that work?

Exactly what happened to me Thursday. Tried resetting everything according to Arlo directions, took days for base to finally connect. Two old Arlo cameras were able to sync with base station, but the two Arlo Pro 2 cameras refuse. Have tried everything. At this point there are enough options to think about other services that don’t require this much DIY problem solving.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve tried that. Batteries are charged and I have tried the manual sync, however nothing happens. It’s strange because it’s not only that the camera won’t sync, but the blue light never even comes when I hold down the sync button. Its as if all five cameras are totally dead, but if I take the batteries out, wait 30 seconds and put them back in the cameras, the blue light will come on momentarily so I know the blue light works and the cameras aren’t dead.

There's no reason to hold the sync button on the camera for any length of time - usually a brief press activates the sync mode. It may be that the button is faulty - can you feel it click when pressed?

Same similar problem. My cameras appear to be syncing to the base but don't show up in devices afterward. This started two days ago after resetting everything. All was good before that. Bought a one-month subscription and upgraded to the new portal but to no avail. After an eternity with online help, their response was I had out of warranty defective devices. BS.

Problem solved. Apparently, the batteries have to be either 100% fully charged or possibly charged to over a certain threshold in order to sync the cameras. I replaced the batteries with spare batteries that were charged to 100% and I was then able to sync the cameras. Even though each of the batteries that I replaced had a reasonable charge of at least greater than 50%, it apparently was not a significant enough of a charge to allow those cameras to sync.

Hi Spolt3... I guess it is possible. My cameras have been running on USB cables since new without the batteries installed. So basically, only charged once. I've been charging them continuously for three days now, and they both show a solid blue light.

Checked batteries with multi-meter. Both showing over 8 volts, so they are fine.

Yes, the cameras are up and working. Used the phone (Android) app to get them loaded. There is something broken on the PC version.
