Is it possible to connect a battery back up to the base station?
My reason for this question is the fackt that nothing will be recorded if the power in the house goes down.
An intruder can cut a outside cable, wich vil course the power faillure relay to cut.

Sure. I use a 750VA UPS that powers my modem, router and base. According to the math, I should get ~18 hours but several hours at any rate. Use a bigger one for more time.

Same here, I run a large UPS ... highly recommend esp if it is in a remote location like a vaction home.

While you are at it, consider ordering a smart plug to place between the UPS and the base station. That allows you to power cycle the base station remotely if you get into some really weird condition. That is my standard configuration now. UPS, smart plug, base station. TP Link even makes a smart power strip with individually switchable outlets.
