Alarm and window opening too close

It drives me crazy that the alarm touch area is almost on top of the window enlarging areas on the app screen. I am always afraid I am going to set off the alarm and terrify my mom when I am checking in on her. Has this ever happened to anyone? Can it be changed?

agree.. on a small screen they are fairly close.

Maybe opposite sides?
