Who is using an outdoor aftermarket cable that works with no issues? Which do you have? I keep seeing people are getting errors on camera with these cables.

I’ve read this info on this forum. So are you saying the aftermarket cords work perfectly fine then?

No. I just place little credence on "I read it somewhere" observations.

 

Following your message I went and looked at some of the reviews on seller sites. I see some comments about poor quality, but that's it. I would expect to see multiple moans were this a common issue.

You may be right, but the lapsed experimental scientist in me always likes evidence. If you "keep seeing" them it can't be hard to post a few links.
