We had the arlo pro2 security cameras installed 6 months ago. We tried to physically reposition the cameras to get certain areas. This didn't change anything. So I try to change the security zone. Then I get the error message AC power has been disconnected. This is a bad error message in that it doesn't give info on how to correct it. What is needed is either 1) sign up for the 9.99 feature that gives you cloud storage, but more importantly, allows you to change the security zone. The only other way you can change the security zone is to get an installation charger, but this has to be connected at all times. So what is the point of having wyfy? In other words, you must sign up for the 9.99 extra service. I have yet to see anyone post this info.

It is posted in several places here (you're not the first to run into it), and the KB article on cloud activity zones also says that you need an arlo smart subscription. https://kb.arlo.com/000056589/How-do-I-set-up-the-Arlo-Smart-cloud-activity-zones
Part of the puzzle here is that people don't realize that they need the subscription until their trial subscription runs out. It'd be better if it was communicated clearly in the initial setup.
