Some of my Arlo solar panels and even cameras have been offline for weeks due to cold temperatures...is there going to be a firmware update to perhaps address this or is it permanent?

There are hardware limitations that prevent the solar panel/cameras from operating beyond certain temperature thresholds. This is necessary to prevent damage to both the camera and battery. This is not something that can be resolved with firmware.
For more information on temperature thresholds, take a look here: https://kb.arlo.com/1705/Are-Arlo-cameras-weatherproof
