Arlo 3 downgrade?

Why with arlo 3 I do not get the one week of memory like arlo 2? Should this be an upgrade?

Arlo Pro 3 cameras require a subscription to Arlo Smart to save content to the cloud library. Without a subscription, content cannot be saved and the camera will not benefit from the other features provided by Arlo Smart.
