Arlo Baby comes with a cloud library of sounds and music, but you can record additional sounds, such as your own voice. You can also rename these sounds after you save them. You cannot rename tracks from the Arlo Cloud Library.
To record a sound and add it to Arlo Baby:
- Launch the Arlo app on your mobile device.
The Devices page displays. - Tap to access the music controls.

If this is your first sound recording on Arlo Baby, you might need to give your mobile device’s operating system permission for the Arlo app to use your device’s microphone. After you give permission, if you are unable to record sounds, log out of the Arlo app, log back in, and return to step 2. - The available amount of time you can record is displayed on the screen. If you want to record for a longer duration, you must delete some tracks from your playlist.
- When you are finished, tap the black square to stop recording.
- Tap the play button to listen to your recording.
- Tap SAVE to keep the current recording or Try Again to discard it.
If you discarded the recording, repeat steps 6-9 until you have a recording that you want to keep. - After you save a recording, enter a name for the recording.
