I wanna order a VMB4540 base so I can record from my Arlo doorbell as well as my 2 arlo cameras. My VMB4000 will not save recording from my doorbell

Actually it will record.

But it has no playback features.  All the recordings you see in the app or my.arlo.com are stored in the Arlo Cloud.

The only way to see recording on the VMB4000 storage is to eject the storage from the base using the app, and then connecting it to a PC.
