I obviously don't want motion and door sensors going off and calling the police because my cameras are set to armed away. This seems like a fatal flaw in the system. I've posted many times put no reply button is available  on the mobile website just accept as solution which none are.

I have Arm Home and Arm Away setup for the cameras. Sometimes I use away when I'm home if I want more alerts. If I hookup the security system that's going to trigger motionless and alarms when doors are opened. For the price I pay, I should have th choice to separate the two.

My whole point in justifying this $20 a month subscription would be having a monitored security alarm with it, not adding another $20 subscription.

Which is why I pointed out the implications of setting up the keypad and cameras in different locations.

I understand that. It is a flaw in Arlo's current design.  I was just telling what options you have today.

Right now you either need to edit the rules in Arm Home (putting them back later), or remove Panic from Arm Away (putting that back later).

When Arlo puts back custom modes (hopefully soon) you will have a better option - setting up a custom mode with heightened thresholds for the cameras.  Then you would be able to switch to that mode, and then switch back to Arm Home when done.

Have you changed the rule for the sensor hub in "Armed Away" mode - turning off "Panic"?

No because when I push the button to Arm Away on the alarm, I want the alarm in that mode. I don't always want the 2 in sync.

I haven't purchased it yet because of this. I'm not going to pay $20 a month just for cameras when I can get other services for half the price. I need to update my home alarm and of the two devices can't play the way needed, then I sell my cameras. I'm thinking of all the issues I will have so I can have them ironed out before hand. I don't want to have enough to play around with an app and adjust sensors everytime I need to arm away and need door and motion sensors on.

Arlo is planning to add back custom modes, and when they do that you'll be able to put the cameras in a different mode that you can define.  Hopefully that will happen soon.

If you don't have a subscription (or don't need a subscription for the sensor keypad), then you can create a second location in the app.  Then you can move the security system into that location.  Once you do that, "Arm Away" for the cameras will be different from "Arm Away" for the all-in-one sensors.  Putting the cameras into "Arm Away" won't change the mode for the security system.

If you do have  a subscription for both the cameras and the keypad, then moving the keypad to a different location would result in your needing to purchase a second subscription - likely something you want to avoid.  In that scenario, you'd need to temporarily remove the Panic action from Arm Away (making sure to put it back later on).

My whole point in justifying this $20 a month subscription would be having a monitored security alarm with it, not adding another $20 subscription. If I can't justify that, I need to move on to a different camera system that's half the price per month. Most are half the price per month and comparable. I've been with Arlo since the very first camera's and they've basically doubled the subscription price this year. If I can't get what I need for the whole $20 without adding another $20 subscription, it will be time to move onto a different manufacturer.

I'm not sure why my camera modes MUST coincide with alarm modes. There's times when those when those will be different. That's my 2 cents.

Thanks
