hello, i am looking to purchase an arlo camera. I prefer the idea of the Arlo Go, being indipendentfrom WIFI.

from the preorder, it is clear the cost of the camera but it is not the cost for the 3G/4G service.

Is it included in the cost of the camera?

I think the problem is that I’m on an The new unlimited plan. It’s $25!to activate and $20/month. I’m sitting at the AT&T store as I write this and the guy is having trouble adding the camera to my account.

Be sure you purchased the VML4030-100NAS camera as it is the only one that will work on the AT&T network. 200 wor the VMQ will not activate on AT&T network.

The guy at the AT&T store eventually had to call HQ in order to associate the device with my current account.  A glitch in his software wouldn't let him do it.  So, it's now working fine.  However, had I known this was going to cost me $20/month with no way to deactivate/reactivate it I would have simply gotten the Arlo version even though their data cap is pretty restrictive.  I only need my Arlo Go for when I am in hotel rooms with some expensive merchandise my company sells.  Too bad the regular Arlo cameras won't connect to hotel WiFi networks because this is a rather expensive pain for something I only need to use for about 20 days/year tops.
