We have not played with these yet as they are being released slowly,  but to the best of my knowledge ( have held and inspected ) it works basicly the same as the other Arlo units which are cloud based by design.

At this time, Arlo Go is only available for use on AT&T under domestic data coverage. For more information, see here: Where can I use an Arlo Go camera?

James, I am curious about your comment regading AT&T data plans. I just wasted 4 days with your support people trying to get an AT&T plan to work on your camera. I found out after 4 days from somebody that there are different models of the camera and I am not able to find anyone who currenty sells the AT&T version to consumers. Best Buy sells only the Arlo plan one as will Amazon on June 2nd. CDW sells them, but only to businesses. Do you have any information on how I might obtain an AT&T compatible one?

Iwthomas1,

Your Arlo Go camera uses the AT&T network to send pictures and video to your Arlo account in the cloud. Take a look here for information on how to set up your Arlo Go subscription: How do I set up my Arlo Go camera?

Hi. I live in Australia. Rather than use AT&T SIM, can I put an AU SIM into the Arlo Go?

There are 3 models of the camera that I am aware of. One that works with AT&T, one that works with a Verizon and one that works with the Netgear Arlo plan. I believe the Netgear Arlo plan also uses AT&T as the provider though so I doubt. You might contact Netgear suport on if the VMC4030-200Nas (The Arlo Plan Model) to see what providers it supports. The other 2 are exclusive to either AT&T or Verizon.
