Go outside camera have a mode that if something is detected, it will notify us?

I am not sure how the camera's work when I am not home, is there a mode that if something is detected, it will notify us?  

Does this waste battery life?  Sorry, just trying to figure this stuff out.

Hi @Davewvve,

 

You can put your camera on "Armed" to have the camera start detecting any motion or audio. You can read to learn what modes are available for Arlo: What are modes and rules and how does Arlo use them?
