Researching the Arlo Go, I find that the Battery life could be as short as 2.5 months.  In my situation, knowing the amount of recordable activity in the area that I expect to place the camera, I would expect that I may receive perhaps 3 to 4 months from the battery life since the recordable activity is expected to be very low.  With that said, I'll likley receive more battery life than in print although I actualy need about 6 months total before I'd be able to recharge the battery.  My question is, if I plug in the camera to receive power from electricity and I keep the battery within the unit; will the battery kick on, in the event that the power goes out?  If that works, I may be in business with Arlo Go.  Thanks for your time with my question!!

Yes, you can run the Go with the power adapter plugged in and yes, if power fails the battery will take over.

You can also run the Go using the Arlo solar panel.
