Fwiw, I have a Pro camera aimed at my idiot neighbor and, while it has a lot of background noise, picks up noise at 25 feet, +/-.

Great to hear! I will order it this weekend. It will be used by the police when i call them next due to the next door renters threats!

Obviously, it depends on lots of variables. Loud exclamations with minimal background noise would help.

put it this way.......... you will not use it at 100%.  I have mine set at 25% and it still catches cars driving by 30 feet way.....
