The Arlo Go does show cars coming through our driveway but will not focus on the tag numbers.  No matter how I slow the video up, enlarge the picture, no numbers.  Also, it often will video the car coming in, but we never see the same car leaving, when there is a quick leave.  How can I fix that--is it the length of the video that needs changing?

You'll have to get close....

here's a Q camera at about 30ft ... its a 1080 rez cam.  ( and the cars were still )

zoomed in to see and here's what you get;

Like I said... if you want plates, you need a tight aimed camera at the bumper level ( which would be more like an ID cam; small area so you can capture what you want )

These are more designed as ACTIVITY cams, you will see when it happened and what, but not get an ID shots

As to getting plate numbers...can say it's prob not going to happen.

This cameras are designed with more of a wide angle and unless your talking a short distance, it will not have enough Rez to see them clearly.

You would need a hi Rez cam focused tightly on the center bumber line of a vehicle to do so

As to the second issue, yes maybe an increase of time

as in, how short a distance.  I have some wiggle room for that.  Regarding the second issue, It was set on 10 second videos, what would you suggest?
