Recently bought an Arlo Go, using it frequently in different locations. With “camera off” selected in the app the cellular modem is still on, even the infrared LEDs and the PIR sensor are still working (doesn’t make sense at all...)

Is there any chance to switch the whole device completely off? Removing the battery is a pain, especially with the silicon sleeve in use.

Only to remove battery is your option

@moaner73  Thats a valid request, but if you place the camera in "airplane mode" then the camera will never receive the signal request to turn back on.

Question:  What line of business are you in that requires you to travel with an ARLO GO?

Ok, thanks. As mentioned before removing the battery, which is what I'm doing now, is a bit of a pain. I was more thinking about a more simple solution i.e. long press of sync button to switch the Arlo Go completely off. If I want to use it again, I don't need the App. I just use the button again when I put it up.

@alien_scones: Good question, I'm using the Arlo Go at a trade fair booth or a hotel room while traveling, If I would want to use an Arlo camera stationary I would use the WiFi version.

Hi moaner73,

This is a good idea. Have you thought about adding it to our idea exchange Board? it is always good to add to the ideas.
