I am finishing up adding my device in the app and now all my app is doing is saying please wait with the spinning circle. How long am I supposed to let it do this? It's been more than 5 minutes with it still spinning. Also the Arlo keeps chiming, is that normal while this is happening?

Start by rebooting the phone and reinstalling the app. WHat do you mean by it keeps chiming? Are you getting notifications that recordings are happening? That would be normal.
