I use a Go 2 through Verizon LTE. I got a notice today that my camera has exceeded its Hot Spot data for the month.

How is my camera acting as a Hot Spot? The camera is out in a pasture, watching two mules. Verizon is clueless.

How do I stop that from happening?

Fhbrumb,

Verizon may be categorizing the mobile data plan associated with your camera as a hotspot data plan. The camera itself has no hotspot capabilities.

How often is the camera being streamed and/or recording library content? How much data is allocated to your plan?

Is there any more information on this question? What can be done about it?

KippHill,

I encourage you to reach out to Verizon and review the data usage on your camera. If your camera is exceeding the allocated data cap, you may need to adjust it's usage or increase your data plan.
