I have bought a new Arlo Go 2 and will not allow me to record anything under automations. It states I need to have a subscription. However I have had an account for several years. All the other Go's have the 7 day cloud recording except this one. Cant figure why this is occurring.

Arlo Go cameras (like other older models) was sold with 7-day free cloud recording.
But the Arlo Go 2 (like all newer models) requires a subscription for any cloud recording. That began with the Ultra back in 2018.

Ok that makes sense. Now if I choose to use the SD card, are you able to view saved video on the SD card through the app? Or am I going to have to eject the card, insert into computer to view the recordings?

You'll have to eject the card.
