I just had to reinstall my camera and it received the latest firmware:
1.090.27.5_38_dbbc2, and now it detects small animals, like cats and squirrels all the time, night and day. Setting set up to not detect animals.
Any ideas,
Barry

First, do you have Arlo Smart and is the camera configured to be included? A reinstall likely removes it from Smart.
Next, be aware that even with Smart, everything detected WILL be recorded. Smart settings just tell the servers to delete the video once it's determined to be ignored. You may want to reduce the motion sensitivity in your modes and rules to minimize the number of recordings made which will, of course, affect battery life.

@Byedvob For Smart Notifications you will "not" get a Notification but "still" get the recording. For Activity Zones it will disregard the recordings outside the zone once recorded so you wont see them. They function differently. Are you getting notifications for animals if the setting is off?

Thanks. The motion sensitivity was probably set too high by default after reinstall, at 80. I just dropped to 60. That will probably do it.

Had to set sensitivity to 40 to undetect small animals, but seems fine now. Thanks.
