VMC2030 Nothing will get this camera to log into my network

I have a 2.4 Ghz Wifi . 804.11g. TPLink, rural internet service.

Hove worked for (wasted) 2 days now, and this camera will not register on my network.

The camera will not show up on the ARP list no mater what I try.

It will scan the QR code and I do get the chimes, after that I can watch the ARP list on my router and never any connection. No attempt even shows on the router DHCP logs

Short of buying a different brand, any ideas?

BTW that help chat is useless, just a $2 waste of time.

Is your wifi network set to use WPA2 encryption?

My network is open, I have no WAP2 encryption required

That's a problem, to say the least. In any case, Arlo requires WPA2 to connect.
