Not sure of the model, but it's a year old.  I can see images passing before camera, and phone rings when someone depresses the doorbell, but cannot communicate with person at door via telephone upon connecting.

I noticed that camera setup initially indicated a requirement to be connected via 2.5 ghz as opposed to 5 ghz.  I was not able to establish that connection, as my wifi auto connected to 5ghz.  Not sure if that's the issue, but it's the only thing that I can think of.

I think his work-around is worth a try - let us know if it resolves your issue [or not].
