Text message notification option (with no email to text option from mobile provider)

Hi all,

I would like tp purchase an Arlo Wire-Free for outdoor use, but need to know whether alerts can be sent via SMS as well as through the app, since one of the users only has an older feature phone.

I saw an historic forum query on this, and one of the answers suggested finding the cell carrier's email to text format. That option isn't available through any of this country's cell providers.

I've spoken to in-store retailers who aren't sure if this is possible.

Any help much appreciated.

Unfortunately, the options are web push and/or email.  One thing to keep in mind is that the smart filtering feature only works with web push.  All notifications are sent when using email.

There are email->SMS services out there (which charge for each message sent).  I haven't used them, so I don't know if they'd work for this or not.  But you could look into them.

Not sure it'll be very useful though, since the feature phone can't display the video.
