I have one Arlo with the spotlight. It it is the only one that isn't recording. What is the problem?

There are several Arlo cameras with spotlights.  If the camera opens, you can remove it from the housing and take out the battery.  There is a label behind it.  If the camera is fully sealed, then you have one of the Essential models.  There is a VMCxxxx label on the camera, but it can be hard to spot.  Look on the back, and also look closely at the rubber seal around the charging port.

 

Do you have a subscription for the camera?

I have arlo account I pay $250 a year but arlo camera don’t have record I wound like cancel your service

Can you explain what you mean Arlo don't have record? Is your cameras not picking up the recordings? Are you not able to manual record?

Hi all, I have the same problem. At the end of August 2025, my Arlo Essential Spotlight Camera 1080p VMC2030 (out of warranty) stopped recoding. I can view it live but not matter what trigger I use it will not record. I'd this a software/firmware problem? I'm not a superuser, but not a newbie either. I have an actvie subscription with 15 home cams and 5 Old Go's in use in the last 10yrs.

Can you make a manual recording while livestreaming the camera?

I'm not sure did not try that. However, I did take a photo and it worked. Update... I removed it from the hub and it will not relink to hub.
