Not picking up device

I have been trying to install the spotlight essential camera multiple times. It chimes with the QR code but when it is doing the little radar to pick up the device it won’t pick up. I am on 2.4 wifi, I have restarted the wifi, and I am right next to it. Also, what does the flashing orange mean? Please please help! Thank you.

It depends on whether it is blinking fast or slowly - see https://kb.arlo.com/642/What-do-the-different-LED-behaviors-on-my-Arlo-camera-mean:
Arlo Pro 2, Arlo Pro, Arlo Essential and Arlo Wire-Free LED Patterns
- Slow blinking blue. The camera is syncing with the base station.
- Fast blinking blue. The camera has synced with the base station.
- Slow blinking amber. The camera's batteries are low.
- Fast blinking amber. The camera failed to sync with the SmartHub or base station.
- Alternating blue and amber. A firmware update is in progress. DO NOT TURN OFF THE CAMERA.
- Off. The camera is powered off or has less than 10% battery remaining.
If you are connecting to your home wifi, then make sure
- you are selecting the correct essential model (choosing the spotlight model if you have the spotlight)
- that the network security is set to WPA2 (AES)
If the network name or password includes punctuation, try removing those characters.
Also, sometimes onboarding using a PC (browsing to my.arlo.com) succeeds when the app fails.
