No video feedwhen doorbell calls

I have a iPhone X, my wife has an iPhone 11.

We both get video notifications from the movement sensor

We get live video in about 5 seconds

We both get calls when the doorbell is pressed but get no video or sound - we just get a grey screen with spinning circle.

We have re-installed the app and the doorbell, we have checked permissions and we have done all fixes suggested on these boards.

Like many others who have posted we have been unable to get video on calling.

Can anyone help please?

Have you tried reducing the resolution in the doorbell settings? Do you still see the same behavior?

Changing the resolution makes no difference.

It did work once yesterday for the first time for no apparent reason, but it has gone back to spinning circle again today.
