Why can’t I see the recordings anymore . I didn’t change any settings and no one else is on my account . I get a notification and I can’t even review it . System is saying this is a premium feature. I think that’s ridiculous.

No shots fired but what happened to the 7 days ?
Legacy cameras (including Pro and Pro 2) were sold with 7 days of free cloud storage - which Arlo still provides for those cameras. They stopped including that feature back for new models back in 2018 (starting with the Ultra).

Sounds like your trial subscription expired unless you're actually using a Pro or Pro 2 camera, not one of the later Pro 3/4/5 or Essential cameras. Can you verify the exact model camera? Looking inside the camera battery cavity should show a VMCxxxx designation.

I have an arlo essential and I understand there are premium features but are you trying to tell me that I have to pay to see the video after I get a notification. If so that’s highway robbery and they are forcing people into expensive subscriptions.

Arlo Essentials (like all currently sold Arlo cameras) require a subscription to get cloud storage. This is on the packaging (though perhaps not a prominent as it should be). More information on what the subscription gives you is here:
Please don't shoot the messengers - neither @jguerdat nor I work for Arlo.
