My battery only lasts a week. Only get 24 recordings a day and use a solar panal as well. The essential xl is only 3 months old. Worse since i added the solar panal. Any help appreciated.

There have been reports of solar panels actually draining batteries when attached to the camera. Try using the panel on a different camera to see if you see the same thinng. If so, use Settings, Support to start a replacement process.
