I've recently updated my Phone app for Cameras.

I have multiple cameras.  I only want some on when I'm home and some when I'm asleep and all when I'm away.

I was able to program cameras by schedule before.  Now the new Automations and Sunrise feature will not let me change times... it seriously update the "Arm" and Home" functions with the sun rather the times I want it too.

I really want the OLD app format.  It worked for years!!!  It is not better... just saying

What you do is

  1. set up Arm Away to arm all cameras
  2. set up Arm Home to arm the daytime cameras
  3. set up Standby to arm the nighttime cameras

Then

  • create one schedule automation to switch to "Arm Home" at your desired day start time (no need for that to be Sunrise).
  • create a second schedule automation to switch to "Standby" at your desired night start time.

Both automations should be enabled in  both the "Arm Home" and "Standby" modes.  Both should be disabled in "Arm Home".

Then set the system manually into either "Arm Home" or "Standby" on the dashboard.  It will follow the schedule from that point on.

If you set the system manually to "Arm Away", then all cameras will be armed until you manually change the mode to something else.

You can also add geofence routines, but I suggest adding them later on - after you get the scheduleing to work properly for you.
