Go into settings->video setting->low light settings and then double-check that the spotlight is enabled.

did all of that and still no light when motion detected
Night vision also enabled.
spotlight will not come on day or night when motion detected.
Spotlight can be turned on/off manually.

This recommendation has been made before. ... many times! I cannot keep resetting my camera when that does not solve the problem. After months of fooling with this with constantly changing agents, I have reached the following conclusion.
The arlo spotlight camera will NOT turn on the spotlight unless the camera is in a dark area. In daylight or nighttime setting where there ambiant light, this feature will not work. This is design flaw in the camera.
I have purchased another wireless camera that claims to provide spotlight service day or night when motion is detected and is so configured. So far that camera is performing as advertised. This was installed and working in less than one day.
So I will retire my Arlo Spotlight, give it away, discard it or try to sell it on Ebay. The Arlo customer support service for the past 2 months has been awful. The warranty on this camera is not being honored. I simply cannot waste any more time on this. Sorry, but you have lost me as an Arlo customer.
