Hi,

I have a number of Essential XL Spotlight cameras installed.

All functioning as required except I have an issue with one of the cameras at the front of the house.

It is installed under the eaves on the brick wall.

I only have People and Animal on in the Smart Notifications with Animated Preview.

I have a n umber of Activity Zones created for this camera and all are for very close to the house which meets our requirements. The street is over 12 metres away from the camera and well out of any of the Zones.

The issue is that the Spotlight comes on in the evening when a car drives by. It comes on for approximately 5 seconds and then goes off. I believe it could be related to the noise of the car rather than the vehicle itself being picked up as nothing happens during the day with being picked up or the spotlight coming on. We have set it up so we get no alert day or night when a car goes by as it is outside the Zone. Microphones and Speaker are turned off. The Spotlight function is set as On as we want it to come on in the evening if any People get near the house within the Zones. Behavior is set to Constant. We are concerned with the light coming on and off is a nuisance as well as using up battery power.

Hope someone has a solution.

Thanks for your assistance.

The spotlight will come on whenever the camera detects motion.  That doesn't change with activity zones, and it doesn't matter what notifications you have enabled.

Whenever the camera detects motion, it will stream video to the Arlo cloud (with the light on if it is dark).  The cloud determines if the motion is inside the zone or not - and supresses notifications and recordings if it is outside the zone.  It also classifies the video (people, animal), etc.  But the camera itself always operates the same way.

What you can do is
