Hi I wish to place a camera about 200 feet from the VRB5000 base station however it goes out of range at less than 100 feet. I have tried connecting to broadband however I believe sky hub works at both 2.6 and 5.0Ghz and therefore the camera is confused and fails to connect. How do I get the camera to work so it is still connected to the hub and uses the wifi to make the connection. Any help will be much appreciated.

Another hub was the answer and it was so easy to set up. Whats good is that the App shows all the camera's on both Hubs.

The biggest issue is that the advertised maximum range for any WiFi, including that used by Arlo, is 300 feet but that would have to be in perfect conditions which never happen.

There's no confusion for the camera relative to the presence of a 5GHz signal since the onboard WiFi chip only works with 2.4GHz. However, other 2.4GHz wireless devices can provide interference which may be part of your distance problem. Generally, the best way to solve this sort of problem is to provide a signal that's closer to the location of the camera which could be a second base or hub or a WiFi extender. Both of those will also require power to be available so the base/hub/extender can be plugged in. (Note that the base/hub must be connected via Ethernet so an extender would be needed for those, too.)

A possible solution would be the Go 2 camera which connects via cell service.

Thank you, I already have a sky mesh system and the internet signal is good where I want to mount the camera. So I guess I will have to get a second hub to resolve this. I just don't understand why the camera doesn't connect to the WiFi as it beeps when i point it at the barcode during set up? Still if it has to be another hub then so beit. Many Thanks again
