Essential Spotlight camera - Unable to turn off Spotlight

At 4pm yesterday I looked at the app and saw the battery had 34% power. At 8pm received an email to say battery was down to 13% and needed recharging. To conserve some power I decided to switch off the spotlight by going into Settings- My Devices- Low light settings. Tapped on/ off tab to off. BUT the spotlight remained on. Have never noticed that before and assume that might be why the battery dropped to 13% in less than 4 hours. Any suggestions as to why I was unable to turn the light off?

Can't answer that directly but I'd suggest starting by rebooting the camera to see if that helps. If not, removing the camera from your account and adding it back in may be needed.
