First of all it said it was too cold to operate, I decided it was faulty and I've cancelled the plan.

So I've removed it from my list of devices.

Now I've decided to charge it and it's actually charged but is constantly clicking, it won't let me add it again to the app.. I don't get the chime.

All I get is a click every 5 seconds, a blue light comes on for 1 second and then the two infra red lights for a second REPEAT .... Over and over again, I expect it to just do it now until the battery goes flat

Gregwestwood,

Try factory resetting the camera using the following instructions: https://kb.arlo.com/000063225/How-do-I-factory-reset-my-Arlo-Essential-Outdoor-Camera-2nd-Generation

I had a similar experience. Essentials Spotlight Camera has been in use for about six months. After charging it I put it back in it's spot. A few days later it said it was no longer connected to the network. I tried a few things and then removed the device and tried to add it back. It would not read the QR code. It did read the code once and then when I tried to rename it and hit continue it said that the process had timed out. Did the factory reset and now all it does it continue to flash the blue light and still cannot add it back as a device. Any suggestions or is this one shot?

Sounds like a faulty camera. Use the app to go to Settings, Support and choose a method of talking to official support to see what they offer, including a possible RMA.
