I have two essential outdoor cameras, working fine but ran flat so brought them in to charge and one turned back on the other didn’t. When I plug the charger in the blue light turns on for 2 seconds then nothing. Have tried removing device to pair it again and holding the sync butting for 15 seconds and won’t respond to anything.

Are you holding down the sync button until you see amber flashes? (the instructions say stop when you see blue flashes, but I think you need to keep holding it until you see amber).

No lights at all when I hold down button. It’s like it’s dead except for the 2 second blue light when I first put charging cable in.

Does the blue light ever become solid when the charging cable is connected? That is the signal that the battery is fully charged.
Also, is the camera still under warranty?

It turns on for a second or two when I plug cable in. It doesn’t flicker it’s just a solid blue light and then it turns off. When I try to find it it the app it asks me to charge it. Probs not under warranty. It’s just strange as the blue light seems to indicate it’s alive but won’t continue to charge or wake up.

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do with the Essential other than the factory reset. Which doesn't seem to be working.
You could contact support even though it isn't under warranty. They apparently will sometimes offer a discount on a replacement.
