I originally purchased a 4 pack of essential spotlight arlo cameras, not even two years ago. I'm down to 2 working cameras. The first Camera to fail would not charge, after attempting every trouble shooting thing I could find with no luck, I gave up. This morning I had a notification that one of my cameras was "factory reset" without my doing and removed from my device list. Brought camera in, it won't start up or reset even after charging. These cameras are junk, it's a shame because I didn't mind paying the monthly fee for the app. These may as well be marketed as disposable cameras. I will be looking for alternatives. If anyone has any suggestions for a similar product that has semi reliable cameras  that would be great. I would not recommend arlo products. Great app, terrible quality and durability of cameras. Of course Warranty is one year, absolute junk.

I've had 9 of these cameras for around 2 years, I think it is.

At first I had lots of problems.. wouldn't link up to the wifi, would show off line a lot.

Finally figured out that once in a while, no matter how hard I'd try- doing it by the book (as it were)... they would stay off line. Restarting them, or uninstalling and bringing them back... I think that once they link up.. if you experience those problems, just let them be and they'll come back eventually.... impatience was my problem, I think.

Finally, leave them alone and they'd come back on line by themselves.  Once they're linked and they go offline at times, I think the issue is impatience.

Once I had 2 of them that wouldn't link... set right here on the desk beside the modem.. .refused to link.    What ended up happening....I was setting at the desk, pushed the "link" button and got up to go grab something in another room, carrying the camera with me. When I got back to the desk, the cam had linked!!!! In shock, I did the same thing with the other one.... it instantly linked, too. Maybe being too close to the wifi source does something, but I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Anyhow, I've got nine of these things, using aftermarket Wasserstein solar panels to charge them with.... and I've had zero problems with any of them. The only glitch is when it gets down below freezing, the app will show that the batteries aren't being charged because they're too cold.

Soon as the sun comes up, that corrects the problem. Anyway, they're always up to 100% charge, so they can go quite a few days even with no sun, I think.
