Do i need a base station

I just purchsed a set o 3 essential wireless cameras. However they will not connect to my wifi. They scan the QR code but then nothing happens. Please help

  1. Are you hearing the chime after they scan the code?
  2. Have you looked to see if the cameras are in the router's attached device list? (often they are, even though the app doesn't seem to find them).
