We recently got two of the XL cameras. It is notifying me of motion detection almost nonstop right at this very moment. We have a flag and a tree in the view, and I'm sure those are setting it off - though when I look at the notification, the movement is so minor. Is there a way I can stop this? I've heard that you can change the sensitivity, but I'm not seeing how to do that. I do have an activity zone that cuts off most of the street so I don't get a notification for every vehicle.

From https://my.arlo.com (the app will have the same functions, but might be presented a bit differently). These screenshots for for my AVD1001 doorbell, but the ones for the Essential XL should match.
First select Mode.
Then if your camera is connected to a base station, select the base on the left pane. If the camera is connected to home wifi, then select the camera on the left pane. Then click on the > at the right of "Armed"
You'll see a rule for each camera in the mode. Select Edit for your camera's rule.
Click on the > next to "motion is detected"
Now adjust the sensitivity:
Click on "Back" when done. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Save"

It's in the rule for the camera. https://kb.arlo.com/42/What-are-modes-and-rules-and-how-does-Arlo-use-them

I already have "All Other Motion" turned off for Smart Alerts. How else do I do it? My only other options are People, Vehicles and Animals.

Read the article I posted above. You are looking in the wrong place if you are wanting to reduce the motion sensitivity.
But there was an issue yesterday with smart alerts. So you could just see if your problem is resolved now.

The article you posted said "sensitivity" is controlled under Trigger. Nowhere in my device settings do I see Trigger. So I'm still not clear how to adjust sensitivity in my camera. If I'm not looking in the right place, could you please be a little more specific as to what I should be looking for?
