I have 2 cameras the basic one and the essential spotlight. The spotlight camera wouldn't work for about a month we finally troubleshot it enough that it works now but now it won't record when motion is detected. It's grayed out in the settings. How do I change the setting so it records when motion is detected. The basic camera will record just not the spotlight camera.

Did your 3 month trial to smart expire? Essential, Pro 3 and newer require a subscription for cloud recordings. The Pro 2 and older till have the free 7 day storage. If you are connected to a base/hub you can use local stage but if connected to your wifi it needs a sub.
