When you reset the camera did you check Settings<Subscription<Manage cameras to make sure it didn't make the cam inactive from the sub. If it did drag it back to active. I called support before on a weekend at least in the U.S. they are open.

Thanks this worked, I dragged the camera in the subscription section and now it's back in but all my history appears to be gone.
The slightly bigger issue, the camera dropped its signal at over 90% battery over the weekend. Called support today (Tue before 1730)) held for 3 mins and on 3 occasions the call went silent, still hung in there but nobody picked up even 15mins later.
I'm losing faith in Arlo. 3 months faultless and now this. Camera currently on charge for one hour and no LEDs when you press the sync button. For 2 sec or longer.
Is this common for a camera to completely pack up after 3months? Any inspiration would be appreciated!

I don't have the Essential but in the FAQ here it says to hold the sync button for 1-2 seconds, not longer as you tried. Not sure if that makes a difference but I would try it. Also rebooting the cam may help. Remove battery and reinsert.
