Battery charge level doesn’t exceed 80%

  • I just bought a set of four Arlo essential wireless cameras and the first two on set up do not exceed 80% on the charging scale. When I plug in the charger the blue light flashes for about five minutes and then shuts off

The blue LED should not be flashing. If the camera setting for the LED is enabled, it should blink blue once when connected to power and then turn on all the time when fully charged. The blinking LED could be indicating that it's paired with your router or hub but it would stop in ~10 seconds.

 

I would remove the cameras from your account and reset them before onboarding again to see if that makes a difference.

Turns out the reason the battery was not charging was because the connector that you plug the charging cable into was the issue. I was trying to use the same connector that I use to charge my iPhone and apparently that must be a different generation
