Arlo essential xl subscription question

I have 4 Arlo essential xl can i use u hub or a base station to record automatic , notifikation or i need subscription?/Mats

You need a subscription for CLOUD recordings. If you use a hub you can set it up to provide local recordings, regardless of whether you have a subscription or not. To have local recordings, the cameras must be connected to the hub, not to WiFi.
