I have tried everything to add my 2 Arlo essential cameras and during the pairing process, the led stops blinking 4-5 blinks after the chime.

I've tried:

changing SSID (no characters other than letters and spaces), confirming devices are on the 2.4ghz band on 2 different phones and my pc, factory resetting cameras, cameras fully charged etc

router is nest wifi but i have forced 2.4ghz connection on devices and also tried the further distance away trick

I don't know if its complicated by having another set of ultras at another property synced to the same account using a base station while these ones are without a base station.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

That's not a factor.

Arlo has never said what "special" characters cause problems.  So I'd remove the spaces.  Note the "special" characters can't be in the password either.

Double check that the network security is using WPA2 (AES).

After the chime stops, check your router's attached device list, and see if the camera has an IP address.

What router are you using?
