Arlo Essential Video Doorbell

I installed an Arlo Essential wireless video doorbell. The doorbell call my cell phone when someone rings the doorbell but does not call me when someone approaches the front door, but  does not ring the doorbell. I was under the impression that I would receive a phone notification in both cases not just for a doorbell ring. Am I wrong? I do receive an email alert in both cases, but that  is not sufficient.

You must edit your modes and rules to enabled push notifications for activity.
