I setup a few activity zones to cover my driveway and fence gate. It was my understanding that I should only be getting motion alerts in these zones. However, I am getting constant alerts from the busy street that is in view on the camera. Should I only be getting alerts for motion in the activity zone? Based on all the KB documents I found this should be the case but it is not happening on my camera.
Any assistance is appreciated!

WHen do these false alerts happen? It's possible that the sun's IR is being reflected and bouncing off something within your zone. It may be a good idea to reduce the motion sensitivity in your modes and rules along with the zones to minimize the false triggers - I do this with my video doorbell which will always include the street. Be sure to test to ensure you still get the motion detections needed.

That rather reinforces the idea that it's the sun's IR being reflected. Turn your motion sensitivity down in your modes and rules to minimize this effect while still getting the recordings/alerts you need. It may also be useful to rotate the cameras down so the street isn't in view.

In any case in addition to this issue and wanting to get a slightly different view, I ended up moving the camera. I was able to remove the street from view and thus ended the erroneous alerts.
