I called arlo support, (or i thought i did), a foreigner answered the phone, we talked about buying a subscription for my 3 arlo essentials, he told me for $249.99, I could get 3 yrs worth of subscription with Arlo, I told him NO, he called me back in about 3 days, said he would add an additional 2 yrs onto the subscription, making it a 5 yr sign up. He said that he works with arlo selling subscriptions by bulk, getting a better deal, passing the savings onto the customer, long story short, i paid him $249.99 for 5 yrs. My camera's are running, recording, working like they should. I looked at my subscription through my arlo account online, and it shows  the last 4 digits of a credit card which is not mine, with an account/subscription paid in full for the month. Is this a scam to gain access to my camera's to possibly robb me? I paid through my paypal account so they can't scam my credit card, right???. Then the same guy calls me yesterday stating that they were having problems with the phone number he previously gave me for support, and gave me a new number, stating if i needed any kind of support in the future, to use the new number. I just don't know about all this, sounds too fishy. Anyone have the same experience????? He also told me that I would not have to do anything, and that my subscription would renew every month.....

vmax15834,

Arlo charges for subscriptions on a monthly basis and does not offer "bulk" subscription rates. I can see that you were able to contact Arlo support and have opened a ticket concerning this issue. I encourage you to continue working with the Arlo Support team.

You didn't.  It sounds like he didn't claim to be Arlo support either - just that he "worked with them".  https://kb.arlo.com/000062119/How-can-I-avoid-Arlo-support-scams

I'm thinking that your subscription might not be renewed for very long.  Maybe see if you can revoke the payment.

I suggest changing your account password.  It'd be useful to know if you gave him your account credentials over the phone.

Also see if there is any "friend" access set up for your cameras.  https://kb.arlo.com/1101094/How-do-I-delete-friends-from-my-Arlo-account

You should probably send an email to the address in the KB article above, giving the phone number (and ideally where you found it).

FWIW, googling for an Arlo support number often leads to a scammer.

Tagging @JamesC , as this particular scenario ("bulk subscriptions", with your subscription showing the wrong credit card) is not something I've seen before.
