I cannot sink my cameras model number VMC2330-100NAR. I went through all the steps and they are not found when i try to sink them up. Each camera times out- tried multiple times. Did I need to buy a base station to make them work? Alos does anyone have a contact phone# for ARLO support? it probably be much faster. Thank you

If you are trying from the app, then I suggest trying from the PC (browse to my.arlo.com).

Are you hearing the chime when you scan the QR code?

I don't think it will help for onboarding, but it would let you add local storage.  That would provide a backup for when the internet is out.

The WiFi needs to be encrypted (have a password) and be set to use WPA2.

As I mentioned before, sometimes my.arlo.com will work better - esp. if the PC is using ethernet.  You do need to move the camera (closer/further away, etc) slowly until you find the spot where the camera scans the QR code.

It looks like I have everything setup per the information you provided. Not sure what I should do next? Thanks for your help.

I'm thinking you need to contact support.  You might need some mod help if you have no cameras currently on-boarded.  Hopefully @JamesC@JessicaP , or @ShayneS will chime in.

I had the same problem and finally found a solution.

The solution is that you need to add the right camera. "Arlo Essential" and "Arlo Essential Spotlight" are two different cameras. You can not add "Arlo Essential Spotlight" camera as "Arlo Essential Spotlight" and vice versa.

The solution is that you need to add the right camera.

I thought my customer has "Arlo Essential" cameras. Instead the cameras were "Arlo Essential Spotlight".

It took me a day to find this solution thanks to a YouTube comment.

It would be nice if Arlo could add a warning message on the installation screen when a user / customer adds the wrong camera model.

This will save time for Arlo support and avoid bad reviews on Amazon and other review sites.

@Gagarins Yea there have been some people doing that and when suggested double checking which cam it worked. Not sure a warning would work since it can't discover the camera in the first place.
