Essential outdoor Camera 2K (3rd Gen) not detecting motion

We have 2 cameras outside. Neither camera will detect motion. I have verified the settings are set to record for motion. The test mode works fine. Anyone else have issues and were you able to resolve them?

I spoke with Arlo support. When setting up the cameras, the instructions were not clear. I needed to add the 2 cameras to Armed Home. Once the cameras were added, they then began picking up motions and we received alerts on our phones.

What mode is the system in?
